7. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

7.1 General Standard of Use

You agree to use the Services in a lawful, responsible, and respectful manner, in accordance with these Terms, applicable laws, and industry standards. You must not misuse the Services or enable others to do so.

7.2 Prohibited Activities

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you shall not (and shall not permit any third party to):

a) Violation of Law

Use the Services in any way that violates applicable laws, regulations, or governmental requirements, including but not limited to data protection, intellectual property, consumer protection, unfair competition, or export control laws.

b) Malware, Hacking, or Service Disruption

Upload, transmit, or distribute any virus, worm, Trojan horse, malware, ransomware, spyware, or other harmful code. You may not conduct denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, port scanning, or other acts intended to disrupt or impair the Services, GEOReport’s infrastructure, or other Users’ access.

c) Misrepresentation of Reports

Alter, manipulate, misrepresent, or falsify Reports, GEO Health Scores, or other outputs of the Services in a way that deceives or misleads third parties, or that attributes statements or endorsements to GEOReport without prior written consent.

d) Unlawful or Infringing Content

Upload, submit, or process any Content that:

a) Infringes, misappropriates, or violates third-party intellectual property or proprietary rights;

b) Contains defamatory, libelous, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful material;

c) Violates privacy rights or data protection laws.

e) Unauthorized Access

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any Account, network, system, or data not expressly made available to you through the Services. This includes attempts to bypass authentication, encryption, or other technical protections.

f) Credentials and Access Controls

Share, sell, or transfer your login credentials to third parties, or circumvent rate limits, usage restrictions, or access controls imposed by GEOReport. Excessive automated queries, scraping, or similar activities require GEOReport’s prior written authorization.

g) Automated Decision-Making Without Legal Basis

Use Reports or outputs of the Services for automated decision-making (including profiling) that produces legal or significant effects on individuals, unless such use has a valid legal basis under applicable law (e.g., GDPR) and is accompanied by appropriate human review and safeguards.

7.3 Monitoring and Enforcement

GEOReport reserves the right, but does not undertake an obligation, to monitor use of the Services to detect violations of this Section. We may investigate suspected breaches, suspend or terminate access, and cooperate with law enforcement or regulators as required.
