20. Effects of Termination & Survival

20.1 Cessation of Access

Upon expiration or termination of your Subscription Term or these Terms for any reason:

d) Your right to access and use the Services immediately ceases;

e) All licenses granted to you under Section 6 (License & Permitted Use) shall automatically terminate.

20.2 Data Handling

a) Content and Reports: GEOReport will retain your Content and Reports for up to 30 days after termination, solely to allow you to export or download such data, unless earlier deletion is requested. After this period, GEOReport will delete or anonymize Content in accordance with Section 11 (Data Processing & Privacy).

b) Backups: Data remaining in system backups will be securely overwritten on rolling cycles, typically within 90 days of termination.

c) Legal Exceptions: GEOReport may retain certain data if required by law, regulation, or to enforce its legal rights.

20.3 Outstanding Fees

Termination does not relieve you of your obligation to pay any accrued or outstanding fees. All amounts owed to GEOReport become immediately due and payable upon termination.

20.4 Ongoing Obligations

Any rights or obligations that, by their nature, extend beyond termination shall survive, including but not limited to:

a) Payment obligations (Section 5);

b) Restrictions on use (Sections 6–9);

c) Data protection and privacy obligations (Section 11);

d) Disclaimers, warranties, and limitations of liability (Sections 16–17);

e) Indemnification (Section 18);

f) Governing law, dispute resolution, and notices (Sections 21–23).

20.5 No Liability for Termination

Except as expressly provided herein, GEOReport shall not be liable to you or any third party for termination or suspension of access to the Services in accordance with these Terms.
